With Halloween right around the corner, the murderer in slasher films are glorified during the Halloween season. My question to all if you

Freddy Kruger for me, but if we are talking about my favorite Halloween movie of all time. Then def. Trick R Treat(2007). Movie is awesome and so under rated

If the movie was accurate to the book, then I would say Pennywise is the GOAT slasher villain.

...because the movie would have been just as much a slasher, as nearly all popular slashers are considered so today.

But here is why I still stick with Pennywise. Even though the made for TV mini-series had to be toned down significantly, the story and characters still made an incredible statement to how powerful the story was. Just imagine if "IT" were made into a real movie. I love Freddy(the original Robert Englund version, not the remake Jackie Haley, who is only so-so), and F13 is always going to be awesome, Pennywise would trump them all, given a fair chance. I *almost* think it's impossible to give IT a fair chance, because the film would traumatize kids pretending to be tough, to an entirely different level.

Jason is my all time favorite, but Michael Myers has a better story line. Kills his sister. Ends up in an asylum then escapes. I even like the rob zombie remake. I really didn't like the Friday the 13 remake and nightmare on elm street. And IT. Oh man that made for TV movie was creepy. I would actually love to see it made into an actual movie

Pennywise is very powerful and nearly immortal but for the most part he only worked on kids.

He was certainly the cause of a few happenings that killed many adults (The fire at the Black Spot, the explosion at the IronWorks, the shoot-out with that one gang that I can’t remember the name of) but he even admitted that he didn’t have as much power once the kids grew to adults and didn’t “believe” anymore. That’s why he needed Henry Bowers at the end.

Besides, I’d have trouble naming him the GOAT with such a small sample size.

Vinny Jones as Mahogany in The Midnight Meat Train. If you haven't seen it, it's worth the time.

Maybe a lesser known one, but there was a 30 min story called "The Crate" in the original "Creepshow" that scared the shit out of me as a kid. There was a scary-ass looking beast/monster that some professors find under the school's staircase.

Pennywise is a good one, though.
