I think they're only acceptable if you're an awkward junior high schooler. I just saw a facebook post by my 78-year-old aunt and she was wearing one. I think I am going to disown her.

I used to wear a fedora, a leather vest with a bleached jean jacket, and walked carrying a cane. For two weeks, when I was thirteen.

My brother took the fedora and wore it with jesus boots and a leather vest with no shirt. For years, when he was 17-20.

Good times.

full disclosure: I wore one in 7th grade, and homemade shirts that said "I Hate People" and "Elvis is Dead" and my sisters' hand-me-down paisley jeans. I had just gotten kicked out of catholic school and thought I was pretty punk. If I could have grown a beard I would have.

I think daisy cutter is becoming my replacement for strongbow. I'm trying to stay hip in my old age. I might need hip replacement therapy

Ha!

Thats phish 2.0

I am a bigger fan of the older stuff. I think you would like a lot of it, but it takes a little work to get into. Like jazz, it can sound like nonsense if you cant see when and how they are deviating from the song or improvising new grooves. And at the end of the day, its a live experience anyway. Makes a lot less sense in headphones. But whatever.

It should be known tho that they are serious musicians and not just stoned noodling bullshit.

don't school me, hippie. I used to seek out Coltrane's fellow travelers playing live (McCoy Tyner, Elvin Jones). Phish doesn't hold a candle to be-bop. The genres are not comparable

I don't enjoy listening to people ********** on acid. I'd rather they be more talented and high on heroin.
