Lets get them on record.

8-8

I think the defense will be top 5. The offense will be bottom 10 and that to me equals out at a very average year in a tough division.

10-6. Wildcard spot. I expect both offensive and defensive improvements, but the D won't play at that magical 2018 level, so that's why I'm not predicting more than 10 wins.

Mitch Trubisky: 16 games, 22 TDs, 10 Interceptions, 3,350 yards, 60 rushes, 330 yards, 3 TDs.

Allen Robinson: 16 games, 82 receptions, 1,050 yards, 5 TDs.

Put it on record, I think Miller improvement, run game improvement, and competent TEs will lower Robinson's contribution . I think Mitch has a 2018 like season, and that'll leave the Bears with an interesting decision to make, depending on how far they go in the playoffs.

Yikes. Losing 3 of the last 4 and making it as a wildcard is limping into the post season. If the Bears limp into the playoffs and have an early exit, especially if they lose another wild card game, Pace might have to pay with his job.
edit: Wow actually it’s losing 4 of the last 5 so it’s even worse on second glance lol.

Have them going 2-3 in last 5, not 1-4

It's just how I see the matchups straight up, the first half of the schedule is favorable, the 2nd half isn't. Kind of like how in 2012 they went 7-1 in the first half and 3-5 in the 2nd half, just this time they'll make the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised with a WC win depending on the matchups, but you're right in saying I'm expecting a 1st or 2nd round exit in the playoffs. This certainly isn't a SB contending team unless Mitch and the offense REALLY turn things around (or unless the defense returns to 2018 form, which is more plausible but still unlikely), which they won't.

6-10
Mitch gets pulled early and Foles is marginally better
Defense is overrated and will be overstrained ranks in the teens.
Offense just doesn’t work and it starts at the top - bottom 3rd.
Pace and Nagy gone...on with the reboot...que Groundhogs Day song.

9-7. Make the playoffs as well behind the vikings(1) and packers(2).

I truly believe three teams from the nfc north will make the playoffs this year with the expanded playoffs.

Also, I'm predicting mitch doesn't get benched. Thats more a homer move tho, because I've been previously quoted that he would go 4 weeks before getting sat. Its unfortunate we can't see these guys before the games matter...but, as POTUS says, it is what it is.

I think this season resides on the oline and the running game......

I don't have the greatest confidence in either, but they will be improved....

10-6

I think 11-5 is very reasonable and I was very close to having us sweep the Pack, but did not due to the historical rarity of it happening as of recent. GB did nothing to improve their team in the offseason and I don't see them being able to get as lucky as they did last year in winning as many close games as they did. They are prime candidates for unraveling if things start to go awry. In the case we sweep the Pack, I would substitute us losing to either Colts or the Rams to still go 11-5.

The schedule seems to be slightly favorable, especially early on giving us some room to acclimate and get the offense going. Last year, 3 of the 4 first games were against top 10 defenses in points allowed. I think that schedule resulted in a slow start that we were unable to ever really recover from until late in the year. This year though we don't face a top 15 scoring defense until week 8 when we play the Saints (ranked #13)

If the offense can't get rolling by then and Trubs is looking a mess I admit it is time to pull the plug. But I think the environment is too good for him to mess this up when looking at the defenses we are facing from a points allowed perspective: Detroit x2 (#26), Giants (#30), Atlanta (#23), Colts (#18), Tampa Bay (#29), Panthers (#31), Rams (#17), Texans (#19), Jaguars (#21)

That's 10 opponents who were bottom half in scoring defense! I see Trubs having a bounce back year!
