Someone hasn't lived there in the winter. It is very enjoyable during Summer, though.

Finland is the #9 country going by suicide rate, sorry to ruin everyone's day

EDIT: Mass would hate Finland, no alcohol purchasing on Sundays! But he'd fit in nonetheless:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6106570.stm

About 2,000 Finns died of alcohol-related causes last year - 150 more than in previous years.

(old article but you get the jist)

Great on summer, horrible in the winter (unless there is snow then it's tolerable, lightens up the place). Finnish people are still too prejudiced and somewhat racist and open up only when drunk. And they can't handle their booze, most of them become total morons once they get boozed up.

And fish is great. What's wrong with you, bri?

Don't you guys like to run around naked in the snow? Or is that a drunk thing?

Jump out of the sauna and into the snow? I'd say no one would do that sober...

I think I've done that sober...or maybe I was drunk.

The one thing I did kind of sober was run straight from the sauna at our summer cottage and jumped into the lake in early September... so it was kind of cold but not like the snow!

Was it exhilarating? Don't you hit each other with switches too?

Yes. Very refreshing and the thought that you can always jump in to the hot sauna to fend of the cold is somehow comforting. It's awesome. Same with jumping into cold water, it will shock the system for sure.

Well it's pretty hit or miss with the girls... they are either  or

If you want the hotties, go to Turku... lots of Swedes there.

I grew up in East Helsinki when I was really young and there were not a lot of girls I would have liked to chase around naked. :snooty:

There aren't that many Swedes in Turku, they are Swedish speaking Finns, don't get your stuff mixed up Stu. Big difference.

Being a big port to Stockholm the 4-5 times I've visited there I have seen a large amount of gorgeous Swedish women that I would love to chase around naked compared to other areas =P Whether they live there or not, I care not!
