LOL, I'm a Jew!. The hobby started a decade ago in Florida. Usually people begin by ordering 1 pound of aluminum and potassium to make flash powder, then simply insert powder into plastic shell casings w/fuse and glue it w/pvc cement...instant quarter sticks. From there I graduated to ejection tubes and paper shells w/phosphorous etc 4/different effects. The hobby has quite a large following, private manufacturers have trade shows every year.

Yeah, I could see that. Sounds like something I could see myself becoming interested in. Although when you consider the fact that I'm probably already on a domestic watch-list (ex-military), it's probably not such a good idea for me to try and start ordering large amounts of potassium.

There is a way to do it legally in any state, an ATF license...only they will deny your app if you've been dishonorably discharged.

He sounds like a cop....period. Just thought it was cool to show how they are constructed, largest I've made was 8". The record is 48" I believe, had to of weighed well over 200lbs.

That's a 4 foot diameter launching tube...christ!.
