This is how I see it ... LaHair to start season at 1B until Rizzo gets the call. Then LaHair platoons with Fonzie (untill Soriano is traded or if LaHair struggles).

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Minnesota United FC
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Even though this year may not be pretty, 1B is a position that I'm looking forward for the next decade.

Yeah it could have been a typo and the 1 somehow slipped into the height.

I'm hoping LaHair mashes and gets traded.

And Joe, that's pretty damn obvious, it goes without saying.

However, he is a different caliber of prospect than anyone in your farm, so he's much closer to a guarantee. (As a Sox fan as well, that scares the shit out of me, our farm sucks, and we need a more competent GM to get us out of this bad mess). Worry about the Sox Joe. I can worry about both because I like both. You on the other hand...

^ There's a better chance of LaHair netting us a good prospect or two after a few months than Lee, who also requires a draft pick (not sure if it surrender one or supplemental in his case)

Thats ignorant. Why pay a guy on the downward slope.... oh hell clearly on his way out of the sport, then pay a hungry guy who is trying to prove something at half the money of the broken down vet. I think we all know that Theo thinks Rizzo is the future. But he also knows the guy needs a little more time to work things out in the minors. Sure he may be ready but why rush him when the team is not going to compete? Hope and pray LeHair kicks ass and we can deal him at the deadline for a nice arm or piece we need headed into the future.

For fucks sake, all of you wanting to bash the guy. Write him off, send him right back to Iowa. Relax and see what he does. They havent even played an inning of PRESEASON baseball and you people are calling for his head? Your losing it people. Buying their way to a ring didnt work. Now they have to rebuild and do it another way.

Signing D-Lee would be simply nostalgic.

"Ohhh the good ole' days!"

May as well bring Slammin' Sammy back. Is Mark Prior available? Todd Walker anyone? I guarantee Mad Dog could still win 7 games.

FYI, I'm being facetious if you didn't already catch that.
