Is COD couch co-op? I have zero interest in on-line nincompoop players. :D

a co-op fantasy game...hmm...I know a great one for the PS2, which is Champions of Norrath. Fantastic game. Also Lord of the Rings: Return of the King is another fantastic game. So if you have a backwards compatible PS3, both of these games would be great options.

for PS3, not a whole lot of co-op split screen fantasy.
Borderlands is co-op capable. It's a sci-fi FPS RPG.
Black Ops two player combat training is fun.
LittleBigPlanet is fun for a while.
Resistance: Fall of Man has a co-op campaign mode. But it too is a sci-fi FPS.

You're a few months too early for this question. Lord of the Rings War in the North will have a "couch co-op" system.

Aye, we both loved playing Champions on our PS2. This is a perfect example of what I'm looking for. How sad there isn't even something out there for this gaming system. Guess the new developers out there are too young for the D&D style types old fogies like me. So I would have to go Sci-fi, eh.

Ya know, as for FPS on PS2, I enjoyed Red Faction II couch co-op...arena with a few many different areas and capture the flag. The PS3 version is one-player only, bummer.

Yeah this generation, when it comes to multiplayer, developers focus on single player online gameplay. Shooters are the cash cow right now, so fantasy games are hard to come by.
