His clock management was lol bad and the flag thing I could not understand. He cost us games.
Seemed like a good coach on the overall. Made good halftime adjustments. Was holding players accountable. Def was better then the talent it had.
Now I think he needed fired but were there other concerns you had outside the 2 mentioned.

His beard was horrible, that's when players turned on him. Because he was a winning coach until then

They also fired Waldron and gave his job to Thomas Brown. I wonder if he'll get the interim head coaching job?

Someone on Reddit resurfaced that press conference of his after last season where he said he prioritizes a quarterback's ability to play in the 4th quarter and conveniently blamed JF for all the team's failures in close games in 2022-2023, so I looked it up:

Justin Fields in the 4th Q in 2023: 47 of 92 (51.1%), 552 yards (6.0 y/a), 3 TDs, 6 INTs, 53.4 passer rating

Caleb Williams 4Q in 2024: 84 of 127 (66.1%), 808 yards (6.4 y/a), 7 TDs 1 INT, 98.8 passer rating

Bears record in one-score games each of those seasons: 2-6

So this jackass got the one thing he asked for and prioritized vs last year with a QB that had a 7-1 td-to-turnover ratio and a passer rating 45+ points higher than the previous season, and this loser still couldn't muster a single extra win in those situations.

The Bears have proven time and time again that a good coordinator is no indication of how you will perform as head coach.

Hell I'd take him back to head the defense

Eberflus' 5-19 record in one-score games is the worst in NFL history for a coach with at least 20 such games, and it featured several unusual endings.

And leadership let him achieve that stat

Yeah, Flus was good at some things. Too bad the things he was bad at are deal breakers for a HC. He will make a good DC again for some team.

Yeah, Flus needs to make that argument behind closed doors to the front office, not to the press. He needs to correct the player behind closed doors, not dress him down to the press The way he threw players under the bus to the press showed he has absolutely no leadership skills. Nobody wants to be lead by someone that protects their public image at the expense of the team.
