Isn't that what eventually got Nagy fired lol

Imagine that, a HC on the hot seat willing to do anything to save his job including turning to the backup QB... who could've seen that coming... ??

This asshole should have been fired. He will be trying anything to save his job instead of doing what is best long term for Caleb Williams.

What's Best long term for the Bears is what's important, and if that's sitting CW then so be it.
CW looks completely lost out there, maybe the new OC will help solve that. But if not then sitting for a few games or even the rest of the year might be what's best for everyone.

Think we all know we will have a new HC and OC next year, so CW will be learning a new system so him not getting reps in a system we are throwing in the trash is not that big of a deal, and considering how lost he is and how many hits he is taking, might be for the best

You never accept poor play from any players week after week.

Benching should never be off the table.

Some "backups" become surprising starters. With the new OC, it's worthwhile starting CW again. But if he's bombing again, they should go to the next man.

Although I doubt Bagent would unseat CW as the starter, you gotta have some accountabilty. Starting positions should be earned.

I'm for whoever gives us the W on Sunday. If it's Bagent playing captain checkdown or CW tossing bombs, it doesn't matter as long as they get the W. Constantly losing for the sake of developing a player just reinforces a losing culture, IMO. We've already reinforced the losing culture with a lack of accountability and a history of actively tanking, and we gotta do something to get it out of the system.

Not that we needed any more evidence that Flus could care less about Caleb's development or long term growth, we already have seen him leave him out there for worthless snaps and take extra sacks and beatings in lopsided losses late in the 4th. Doubling down on stupidity is kind of the calling card for Eberflus though. Can you imagine if Eberflus and company manage to get Williams seriously injured late this season because of their malpractice and it impacts the interest of potential other coaches because Williams is out for part of next season as well.

I think everyone here will agree that the Packers will be blitzing away this Sunday. Most will at least concede that CW holds the ball too long. Maybe he fixes that this week? Hopefully, who knows.

So, if he is under pressure the whole game, do you pull him in the 1st quarter so he doesn't risk injury or do you wait until the last 2 minutes?

Bruh flus hasnt benched him for bagent in blowouts when it was garbage time.

The guy is a clown, almost like he's trying to get caleb hurt to have no excuse against playing bagent.

Just let him get the 409 yards necessary to top Mitch's bears rookie record.

I don't think sitting Caleb for a few games and letting him regroup is necessarily a bad thing.
Normally I'd be against that, but with the bottom appearing to be falling out of this team, I'm not against it at this point, particularly with a thus far underwhelming offensive coordinator coming in and the line as bad as ever. I'd still rather see the Bears let him play through this, though, since the problem is completely of their making and not his fault at all.

He left him in when they had no chance of a comeback and he got his ankle tweaked.

Now because the heat is on he's week to week?

Get him out of there before the damage is personal.

Let the new OC get his feet under him, this week might be a shit show.
