When going long distances which do you prefer?

Driving can be cheaper but takes significantly longer.

context is important

if i'm going from texas to chicago and can reasonably afford it, flying

driving to like NC isn't too bad, you get some nice scenery

i always end up driving cuz it's cheaper, especially with multiple people. i've only flown once in my life. if money was no issue though, i'd prefer flying.

This is why I never travel alone :smug:

I drove from Dallas to Ames, IA in March. That drive sucked.
I flew from Dallas to Chicago in May. That flight was not that bad (even if I had to get to the airport at 5:30am).

Flying is a hassle now & driving can be more memorable, so I'm going to say I prefer driving over flying, just because you get to see some cool things on road trips.

Depends on where. I love flying on small planes. I hate flying on super-jumbos with no leg room, and when you recline back, you can smell the rear passenger's breath.

I love driving too. Driving through Colorado is AWESOME. Flying into and through Colorado sucks. Driving over the Atlantic Ocean, not likely. So it all depends.

I hate most airports right now. So when possible, I drive. But hating airports =/= hating flying.

What are those random dashes inside the lanes that are found on your highways? WHAT DOES IT MEAN! They are in all lanes, so it can't be carpool lane markers.
