These trade deadline deals that looked so good on paper....don't look like they improved much of anything on the ice. Maybe they need a bit more time to gel...but right at this moment in time, they were better before the deals.

This team needs to go at least a few games without giving up a PP goal against.
The PK needs to right the ship. Hossa scoring shorthanded was cool, but they still gave up a PP goal.

They also need to score with the 2 man advantage. Lots of posts and missed opportunities.

Blackhawks from January 1st to St Patrick's day

I know the final score, just watching now. I'm 13 minutes in and we are winning plus hit 3 posts already. Tell me it's not like this

Looking at some of the numbers from tonight and reading some player quotes ... this game doesn't feel as bad as the others. Possession numbers were a lot better than some of the more recent games. If they keep trending in this direction, they'll snap out of this funk real soon.

They have to stop slumping eventually, but of late the UC teams are in quite the funk.

Listened to all but the final 15 of the 3rd.

Sounded like it was a slight step in the right direction, and Seabs made probably his best (and only) defensive play this season.

Still, from what I did see--to much passing the puck (and poorly passing the puck--they weren't able to hit the broadside of both Mike and Molly), and no real shot selection.

Didn't sound like any goal was a softie for Darling.

Our boys need a rectal craniectomy soon, though. They are better than their lay of late

Seabs is actually having a pretty good D season this year. i usually bag on Nacho quite a bit, but he's playing pretty well, given the fact it's just 2, 4 and him on the ice wile the other D men look baffled.
To be fair, TVR looked pretty good. Rosy... holy fuck balls.

I disagree. Seabs this year has been great on the O side, but he's been slow, out of position, and has been turnstiled and caught flat footed on national TV a few times.

It's like he's trying to play beyond his abilities.

I agree that being paired with rookies/scrubs doesn't help, but still, he's gotta be better in the back end. Against Dallas and Minny he looked Cullimore bad.

They are letting too many skaters in front of the net. They need to start knocking these guys down!

Anyone remember off hand what seed the hawks were on each of their cup runs?

IMHO the 'hawks themselves *should* be fine, as long as they start playing to their normal standard. Up until last night, they haven't been.

Still, I wonder if the boo'ing had an effect.
