what does +7.5 means?..they think baltimore wins by over 7 points?

The opposite. If you took the Ravens at +7.5, it means they could lose and you would still win as long as they lost by 7 or less. If you took Denver in that situation (-7.5)...it would mean they would have to win by at least 8 points to cover.

The opposite of what you are thinking. +7.5 means that the Ravens can lose by 7 points and you still win a bet placed on them.
-7.5 bet on Denver means that Denver must win by 8 to "cover the spread and your bet on them to win

It will probably be close, but I see Denver winning. I'm not betting on that game because Denver could cover. The Ravens are difficult to evaluate with the turnover they've had.

I normally don't start betting until week 3-4. Just personal preference. I like seeing how things are shaping up a bit first....although there are some pretty sweet spreads in the early weeks usually. Everyone thinks there team is a winner at this time of the year and it skews things a little. Gets tighter as the season goes on, but it's more predictable IMO.

As was shared partly by a few the point spread of Ravens +7.5 means that if the Ravens lose by 7 or less or win the game outright than people that bet the Ravens are winners.
It in no way shape or form means that the Ravens are 7.5 points worse than the Broncos. It's the number Vegas uses to get equal action on both sides so that the house wins the vig (10% on loss wages).
