I like Crain alot..in a set up role. let Reed get the experience like Santos.

Crain was worth his contract. Guy can pitch.

I wasn't worried about it being a Linebrink type scenario.

Agreed, Thornton can't close and Crain is solid as the righty set-up. No need to fix it if it isn't broken.

From what I've seen of Reed, he would make a solid closer. He's got some good stuff and a hell of an arm.

Craing needs to stop walking 4.3 guys/9 innings. He does not have closer material. Thornton does, but he's on the decline. Besides, I like to shy away from southpaw closers.

I am the leader of a group called "no leftys for closers" God it fucking pisses me off. There isnt a large group of successful closers that were LH. Ive been bitching about that forver.

Crain needs another out pitch

I think Crain is great where he was/is and that the Sox shouldn't try to change that.

I'm on board for Reed as closer.
