Even with our offense playing like shit with negative points for the first 57 minutes, our young defense steps up on the road and holds the other teams offense to ten points, getting back to back clutch stops at the end. Last season we would have had no chance with that kind of performance.
I'll gladly take the 5th round pick we used for Amos and the money we used to sign McPhee by trading Marshall any day. Goldman and Ferguson will be beasts. Next season I suspect they'll sign an elite pass rusher, draft a few more starters and become an elite defense again. Pace will go down as the next great GM in Chicago.
