I just looked up the Power Ratings and we are 8 no big deal there. But what the guy wrote was by far the one big ass joke.

They didn't exactly get off to a great start against the host Vikings, but the Bears hung in there and earned the convincing victory. But their path to securing a first-round playoff bye will get much harder coming up with the Jets and Packers on their schedule over the final two games.

Can some one tell me what game he was watching last night because it damn sure wasn't the Bears game.

Trent Dilfer shouldn't be talking about ANY quarterback and their flaws.

I'm not defending them in any way, but if Michael Vick, a horrid passer before this season, can become a phenomenal passer by improving his footwork, mechanics, and decision making imagine how great Cutler can become if he can just improve his footwork and mechanics.

I don't believe it. His footwork alone isn't the sole reason why he is succeeding. You have to look into the athletes he is playing around, a solid offensive line, and a reliable running game.

Put Cutler in Philly's offense and I expect the same results. Nobody in the NFL is going to have footwork like Vick because he's basically a RB at the QB position.

In my opinion the Patriots, Steelers, and Ravens are the elite teams in the league this year. There has been a ton of parity in the NFL so I am basing my opinion on how teams look when they are playing at their very best and how often they play at that level. After those three to me there is a giant mix of teams that are all very close in terms of how good they are at their best, those teams being the Bears, Packers, Eagles, Falcons, Saints, Jets, Colts, Chargers, and Giants. So if we were ranked 11th or 4th I would agree to some degree with how even the league has been this season. And even in that mix the Chiefs and Jags are not too far behind those teams.

Foxsports is only alive because of Jay Glazer, and I think that is fading because he has been on NFL Network weekly lately and they could use a guy like that since their insider info hasn't been the same since Shefty left. They've been resulting to just more annoying former players blabbering on.

With Vick, it isn't about his mechanics or footwork, it's about TRYING. He admitted he full out lied to his coaches like Jim Mora before when he did the sit down interview with him. He would say he watched the tape and was going to be in focus but he just slacked off and let his ability do all the work. He did learn more mechanics under Reid and watching McNabb but he also learned to prepare for the NFL games as a QB.

Yep he said he never watched film and he even admitted he never once worked out while with the Falcons. He took his entire career for granted and has since focused on football rather than just playing games and hoping his speed would be enough to win.

He's a journalist and you aren't because....well, he's correct.

The Bears gave up a pretty easy first drive score to the Vikings, and on the offensive side of the ball, they went 3 and out twice to start the game. The D stepped up and got an INT, and the O STILL couldn't move it. Luckily, they settled for three, Wooton got to Favre later on....and then they coasted....

Ya, everybody commenting on Cutlers feet must be wrong. If every "expert" comments on the matter there is something to it. I don't want anything to change this season but I would like to him in the off-season try to correct the matter a bit.

Also, as Bear fans you should expect the fact that we haven't been a respected team since the late 1980s. They will continue to find whatever holes our team has and harp on them more than whatever good things we may be doing.

who cares what they think?

They are a major media outlet. A bias has an impact on surrounding fan bases across the nation.

So I would say some people care bromo:smug2:

What cracked me up last night is what Jaws was saying. He did nothing but rip on Cutler all last year (lousy mechanics, bad footwork, bad football IQ, etc.). Now it's, he's so amazing throwing from any position cuz he has a rocket arm. He's a superior athlete with a great IQ who loves challenges and so on. Hahahaha

There's gonna be doubters the rest of the way. That's fine with me. Yes, we beat ANOTHER 3rd string QB. Is it the team's fault that all these opposing QB's are china dolls? What the Bears did last night is impressive anyway you look at. Yes the 1st qtr wasn't the best, but all 3 phases dominated after that & didn't let up until the whistle sounded.

I think Favre started to get ESPN some ratings so they talked him up. Then they needed Bears fans to carry the rest of the broadcast after Favre went down so they talked up Jay.
