Love me some Big Hurt!

I'll never forget his first AB and when we got the centerfield camera shot and he was bigger than the Ump and Catcher combined

Peter Gammons I think has lost it. He said his #1 was Maddux. #2 Bagwell and #3 Mussina.

Chicago got 2 HOFers today. Maddux + Thomas. Pretty crazy to think I saw all of these inductees in play in person. First class I can say I grew up watching all the inductees. All very deserving, wish Biggio got in but his time will come

I can't believe I am going to say this. There is a part of me that wishes the Cubs never pulled the offer away from Greg and that he'd be going in as a Cub than a Brave.

Yeah I guess he technically doesn't count as a Cub going into the HOF. But yeah one of the dumbest things the Cubs ever did. Which is saying a lot based on some of the shit they've done

both amazing to watch. one with incredible power and great swing, the other is a crafty pin point accurate pitcher.

Maddux, Eckersley(who was an alcoholic until leaving Chicago), and Rick Reuschel(sp?)who killed us in the 89' playoffs were franchise killers for the Cubs back then.

Congrats to Frank, but why no Morris remains a mystery...he must have pissed off a writer with a very long memory.

Congrats Frank, you earned it!

Congrats to Maddux as well.

Who turns away the greatest pitcher in franchise history, probably the best of his generation?

I was at Frank's first game. It was in County Stadium and i was all amped up because Hawk had been plugging this guy for weeks before he was called up. If memory serves, he had a triple on a misplayed fly ball to right.

This is a great day for all Sox fans. Congrats to Mad Dog too.

The interview with Garfein on CSNC is awesome! Not a better first ballot candidate from that era IMO, dude did it the right way...
