I have heard of another app called "ShowBox" that supposedly works well for all tv programming and movies.

yeah we use chromecast.. the things are great for the price. we have a roku like box that we got with our internet. it came locked out of the box so adding kodi etc may be a pain.. i havent messed with it much... we just use a android phone and a tablet as tv hubs.
kodi works okay for live tv.. it worked even better for me behind a vpn set to different parts of the world, but our isp is shit and my connection is too slow when using a vpn... we are suppose to get an upgrade from adsl2+ to fttn this year.. it was suppose to be fttp and laid last year.. one can only hope they get they shit together.. while fttn isnt the best it would double-triple our current speed and make vpns doable. at the same time i dont watch much live tv other than sports.. cause i just pull from whatever i wanna watch on demand..

how is picture quality using a phone to chromecast? I would worry that my 60 inch would look grainy? Of course I guess if you DL it in HD it doesn't really matter.
I am thinking about ditching Directv after the footbaw season and DSL switching to cable, for my internet and then getting the Gamepass through a VPN or something I hear that it works easily and you actually get more features than paying for the fucking ticket and paying for Directv ridiculous pricing

i do notice a loss of quality from phone to tv. 1080p it doesnt seem bad.. even 720p is decent. where i really notice is if i stream 540p or less... its hit and miss really.. i guess the source file matters too. when im streaming an in theatre movie cam version, can i really complain?? i dont really notice the loss on youtube/netflix and freeflixhq seems decent so far but its only been offering me 720/1080p feeds with the ability to change servers for different feeds on the fly.. which is nice.. for the COST... it is what it is --- theyre greeeeattt...

forgot to mention when using chromecast with apps like netflix, youtube, freeflix..they directly connect the feed without mirroring and they will go into a powersaver mode and let you turn the phone/tablet screen off.... when i run kodi... i mirror the feed from my phone screen and notice differing quality.

The new fork from Exodus/Covenant... ect is now Neptune Rising. I installed it last night and all is well again.

yeah i added kodill among some other things awhile back when i did a fresh instal.. everything has been working fine since.
will check out neptune rising next time i watch something in the next few days..
