Anyone have recommendations for good backup software? I want something that is simple and free. Don't need a lot of features. I think for now, I will just be backing up files rather than making disc images. I don't need to keep versions of my files either. I just want to automatically backup my documents and game saves a couple times a week.

Have you even tried windows backup in 7. If you just need basic scheduling for select files, it actually works

oh. well then.

Hope you don't think I was being an asshole. I may have worded that wrong. I was honestly asking if you had tried the Windows Backup in Win 7, and if you had maybe you didn't like it. It seems to work fine for what you want, but you need to have an external drive attached at all times for scheduled backups.

If you actually have tried it and don't like it, then this is a nice free alternative:

No, I wasn't being sarcastic. Just noticing that I'm an idiot.

I'm going to try it, though my backup drive will be an internal HDD. And I need to backup 2 other drives onto that one. So hopefully it can work once my new drive gets here.
