I know there are probably a million blogs out there for strong shows like Fringe, but since the FOX cancels everything thread mentions Fringe I thouhgt I would start a thread to talk just about Fringe.

Sooooooooo:

Anybody have ideas about WTF the ending meant on the season finale? (SPOILER ALERT) Peter never existed? Huh

I watched Fringe when it first came out and was very intrigued by it. I've always like Josh Jackson and thought he was good in it, but then they changed the time or the day and I lost track. That is the problem with FOX. They always move stuff around and it makes it difficult for their shows to develop a fan base.

Have to agree with Bri here... I actually loved the first few eps I saw than I totally lost track of it. I actually own the first 2 seasons of it and just haven't had a chance to catch up.

It's excellent if you watch it all the way through, they do a lot of weird stuff and interwine some storylines that you may miss a key piece of if you miss the right episode. It's JJ Abrams, so if you like Lost (I haven't seen it yet) then you might like this, not that the stories are similar, but that the twists and way it's done i believe is.

"Acquired" the first two seasons after not really paying attention to it and got hooked. I like the over-arching story line and Walt is a great character. It's out there but in a good way so you can't really know what is going to happen next. What the finale was about, I have no idea what's next. Hopefully they will able to do a satisfying ending to this series, as I don't see it getting one more season after the fourth one. I don't want a Lost like disappointment. Also need to give props to John Noble and Anna Torv who have been doing a really good job with their characters, especially when portraying their alternative selves. Similar but with enough nuances to make them different.

Walter is easily the best played character on the show. Just brilliant, and then to see Walternate it adds so much more. That guys does a great great job.

On a side note, he also is playing a character in the upcoming LA Noire game, which is another reason to be excited about it.

How much is it like the X-Files? I loved the X-Files although I started watching late.

The X Files was creepy. All I can remember is that episode where those people were inbreeding with their mom. I couldn't watch it again after that.

Not that similar in the end. It had it's "monster of the week" episodes, but in the later episodes it's been more story-driven or the MOTW episode was part of the overarching story. It's less creepy than the X-files with less supernatural things and more towards fringe/pseudoscience subjects.

My wife and I have watched all of the episodes. We both really like the show, we always DVR it and some times we back it up to understand what is going on.

I have a huge crush on Anna Torv but it does piss me off a little that she only got the job because of her great uncle (the owner of Fox News Corp - Rupert Murdoch). She deserves it though, she is very versatile and intelligent. John Noble is a damn genius, by the way.

Here's what I know about next season, Josh Jackson did drive up to Vancouver to start the summer filming sessions. There was talk last summer about him wanting to leave, but I think that has all changed. I have a feeling this show is gaining in popularity and will last for more than a 4th season. At least I hope so!
