Saw this tweet from Bullspodcasters.com Forum Superstar DnPauley yesterday to Swirsky:

"DnPauley @swirsk054 Why is Neil Funk such an idiot and why does he like to take cheap shots at certain players?"

I was watching the game, but I had the sound down. Listening to preseason Neil would probably lead me to running through the town, Frank the Tank "Old School" style. Was Funk tearing up a new guy? Who was he bashing now? DnPauley, where are you?

I haven't had a chance to watch yesterday's game yet, but as far as I've heard, Taj Gibson has been being built up, while Tyrus Thomas is being torn down as not doing the things Taj does.

I havent seen any games with fun yet either. he has a point... taj does do some of the things tyrus doesnt, but he's far from a starter. he plays well, but he's a hustle guy. i like him for where we got him. I really like him for where we got him.

I think Tyrus is going to be a lot different than Ben was last year with Funk. The difference is Tyrus probably deserves the criticism (but you know Funk is going to go out of his way to slam the guy further than need be), while Ben Gordon was just terrific last year, and didn't deserve any of that bullshit that Funk spewed.

It's a shame that the Bulls haven't replaced Funk with Swirsky yet. Maybe if we all do an @swirsky on twitter, complaining about Funk all the time, the Bulls organization will take notice.

Tyrus deserves some pressure, he is coming into his 4th year and has gotten a lot of starts last year despite not earning them. I can't really think of any other team in the league that he would start for.

Fred it was more of who he was building up. The one that pissed me off was Pargo. He kept talking about how great of player he was and how he was going to be able to basically replace Gordon. He quote was something like you know Stacey Gordon might be a little better shooter, but Pargo could contribute most of his production.

Pargo, seriously? The guy is garbage 90% of the time, and 10% of the time he will hit a clutch shot here or there, or score a few buckets in a row.

If he is a big contributor, we are a lottery team.

Jannero Pargo averaged 8.1 PPG on 46.8 TS% last season. There's no other way to analyze it, except to say that Pargo stinks.

I heard Funk spew the same Pargo love in the opener against Indiana. Funk's basic point, when you get down to it, was the addition of Pargo would basically make us forget Ben, because he could help offset the lost scoring. I honestly believe, if Pargo by some miracle puts up 25 in the opener, you're going to hear Funk say, "Ben who!?! We've got Pargo"

BTW, I hope he does score 25 in the opener. I just don't think it's likely. I want him to be good. I just don't think he is.

So far in the preseason, Gibson looks great. But I'm going to wait until the regular season to retract my, "We should have drafted Blair" comments.

Blair's Preseason Numbers. Pretty good for 20 MPG.

Blair has looked like a rebounding beast, but until he can play a full season we won't know just how healthy those knees are. Team doctor warnings were the only reason he wasn't a lottery pick.

Its not so much that he will miss games this year. It is more of a long term question. How many years will they hold up? Blair didn't miss games in college because of his knees.

Blair seems like a player that will be quite good for a couple years, but then his knees will finally give in and he will become something akin to Jerome James or best case scenario Shareef Abdur-Rahim.

someone needs to ask Neil and Stacey if Pargo is so great why was he signed so late in free agency. With the way they gush about him you'd think he would have been inked at midnight on July 1st.

Sorta off topic, but Stacey King was all over that Pecherov guy last night for looking like Stewie Griffin. Then I read the Mark Deeks article on ChicagoNow and realized that this is not the first time this has happened.

No, its not, but I remember the Tom Dore/Red Kerr Oliver Miller jokes too. Boy oh boy...Stacey is entertaining, and he has his own style, I think dude will have a 30 year run in Chicago doing the Bulls games....
