Keep in mind that I want the Blackhawks to win and force a game 6.

Since some don't understand the difference of realism and optimism.

No choice left: your top line has to be Sharp-Toews-Kane.

Load it up, and let them know that if they want to play another game this season, it's going to be on them.

This is the game we get eliminated, sadly. Been a very Jekyl and Hyde season. We have to upgrade some spots this offseason.

Sounds like there's a good chance Emery will get the net.

Hope he's not as rusty as his last game!

Also hope Stan has begun shopping for a new #1.

I hope this isn't the game where I shave my beard.

How about picking up the pace while we're at it, too.

With crawford getting that contract last year and emery getting an extension, seems pretty clear that our goaltender duo is set for next year...

drastically improve our defense and cross our fingers
For sure. The Coyotes can't skate with the Hawks. It'd be nice if they finally decided to use that advantage.
the problem is the the coyotes keep trapping the shit out of us...we can't get any skating room, hence why stalberg has been inefective. It's an understatement to say that he isn't very good at stickhandling, and he can't use his speed...

Mayers not playing again. A damn shame as the guy busts his ass all season.

Now, I won't blame him for not coming back.

Not a chance.

I think Emery was resigned for 2 reasons. Goalies will be at a premium this off season. It makes sense to lock up a dependable backup now rather than have drama during shopping season.

Secondly, he got paid back up money. He's locked in as a number 2. They're not looking to have a 2 goalie (1a, 1b) system. With that known- do you really think they're happy with Crawford as the 1? There is no way that they are. Lock up a known entity (Ray) as the number 2 and focus all our energy on moving/upgrading the number 1 (Craw).

And you could also argue they extended Ray so he could be used as a trade chip this off season. Again, teams will be looking for goalies- having Ray signed for another year makes him more valuable to the Hawks than just letting him walk after the season is over.
