My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Watching part 3 of this renewed my hate for Rondo. All the Rondo hate from the crowd that ensued afterwards...I love it. I still think Rondo should have gotten a flagrant 2 for throwing Hinrich into the scorers table. Kirk had every right to retaliate.

Great stuff DerrickRose1. And timely, since I discussed this in the last podcast. Here's exactly what I was referring to as evidence directly refuting that mother f*cking idiot Harry Teinowitz from ESPN 1000, who basically said that BG had no impact on this game. At the 7:36 mark of this cut, the Bulls were down 101-96. Gordon pushed the ball in transition, he was quickly picked up by Tony Allen, one of the Celtics better defenders. He has to guard BG aggresively all the way out to the 3-point line. A hard drive to the left of Allen forces #43 Perkins (responsible for Miller) to help, and Perkins is brought almost all the way down to the charge circle.

This subtle drive caused Perkins to dive too far, and leave Miller wide open for an uncontested, wide-open 3, at the best spot on the court to hit a 3, after Gordon delivered a perfect pass. Harry Teinowitz is to f*cking stupid to understand that BG's proven ability to hit a 3 AND drive ("He's a great penetrating and getting to the basket" - Gerald Wallace on Gordon) left Miller open to be the hero. And the attention he draws on the offensive end is something the Gordon-haters too often ignore. We'll see far more contensted jumpers next year, mark my words.

One other thing, Miller's defense on the play before that led to this 3 was absolutely fantastic. First, he contests the Tony Allen layup. Then he still manages to grab the board. FRONTCOURT DEFENSE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN BACKCOURT DEFENSE.

The only use I have for the +- stat is when you see something so out of wack with the general average. For example, I remember a game earlier this year in which Thabo had a -20 something, and the next lowest was -5 or -6. It was almost as if Thabo was scoring for the other team in his limited minutes.

In this game, Miller was something like a +26. The next highest was Gordon with a +5, and Salmons had a +4. Everyone else who played significant minutes was negative. That "out of wack" postitive something about Miller's play in this game.

Also, right before the three, Gordon forced Rondo to pass. Rondo had been making a killer on those little short floaters/flingers, and Gordon stopped that.

when Rondo hit Miller in the mouth, the guy clearly was looking right at the ball.
