a win over them will last longer than any beating someone tries to give him

It's hard to imagine that no one will take a shot on him, but, I guess a win is more important *shrugs*

The win is what I want more than anything else. But if someone happens to drop Torres at some point in the contest, I won't be mad.

I'll bet Q uses Torres' presence as enough reason to put Bollig into the lineup. I couldn't disagree with that thinking more ... but that's just what Q does.

Also, more of Mike Smith breaking his stick on the goalpost, please. Few athletes I enjoy watching fail more than him.

emery in goal tonight

A bit of a surprise with the next game on Sunday. Thought the Blackhawks would have liked to continue with Crawford.

Emery probably deserves it after his last game but his first game of the season (against the Coyotes) was very shaky. Wouldn't mind to see Emery fall right in between those two performances and hopefully the defense helps him out.

The Torres angle should be interesting. Personally, I think someone should drop the gloves with him early and then get back to playing hockey. Don't know if Torres will oblige though.

Rene Bourque did it right last year after getting traded to Montreal and ended up facing the Capitals after he put Backstrom out with an elbow the previous game. Pre-game Bourque said he knew he was going to fight and accepted the challenge. He ended up fighting Hendricks who is much more of a fighter than Bourque is, and then moved on after that.

Should be how it goes but we will see.

I'll be at the game tonight. I hope the Hawks are dumb enough to try and retaliate.

GO YOTES!

Wait a minute, stop the Internet, someone is actually claiming to be a Phoenix Coyotes fan.

Haha, at least the guy can poke fun a bit at his time's lack of a large fanbase. :)

Does anyone know if Brookbank or Rozsival is playing tonight? Rozsival had a nice game the last time the hawks played the Yotes. I hope Emery continues to play like he did in Calgary. I for one would be happy if Crawford and Emery try to go Elliot and Halak for the Blackhawks this year. Having two shut down goalies would be a great luxury.

I think the Hawks keep rolling and win 5-3, very similar to the Sharks game, with an empty netter at the end.

Good to see Mayers go at Torres right away. Basically how I outlined it above. Now time to move on and win the game.
