My favorite teams
First round was 9093.
My second one was pretty easy as there were characters on a temple that I knew were Korean.
The one I was the most off by I think was my best guess. Was literally a dirt road with a shack, I guessed eastern-ish Russia, but it was Latvia.
EDIT: Woops posted after the fourth round not the fifth, ended up with 9675. I totally bonered it on the 5th round.

BTW, http://geoguessr.com/ is the same thing, except not embedded on BBC's site. I used to play this a lot. I think my all time best is somewhere in the 21000 range(honor system, no clicking until you find an address and googling the map for it).

Got 19,349 primarily due to recognizing the Allianz Arena (where FC Bayern Munich plays) and getting that one at under 10km, then getting a place with a sign that was obviously Welsh, and a storefront with Portuguese names on it. But yeah, it's really irritating when they give you random road in a desert...you just sit there and stare at it: "Is this Australia? New Mexico? South Africa? What the **** am I supposed to discern from that random shrub over there?"

when I get the random road pictures, I try to discern based on the vegetation and color of the soil. And then usually fail.

Heh, in one picture I had super red soil, sparse vegetation that looked like it was from an area that doesn't get much rain. I guess Australia. Nope, somewhere in Russia.
