I care not for most rap and poems, but I can appreciate a talent when I see and hear it.

Guy has a great handle on the language. I don't really need to say that though.

Wax... best white rapper (excluding Eminem) and it's not even close. And I don't even like rap.

Pfft. Wanna bet? These kids (Wax and Herbal T) are very good but they're veritable fucking babies. They can't even claim best white rappers in underground hip-hop---not while Ill Bill, Sage Francis, Eyedea, and Cage are still spittin on mics.

Sage Francis is awesome.... never liked Eyedea and only briefly seen some of Cage's stuff. Gotta check out Ill Bill.

And for the first time ever I am going to correct you: "they're" =D

I was already correcting "their" while you were responding---LOL

Ill Bill is rough like Vinnie Paz. Also, Sage is indeed awesome---if you get a chance to see him live, do so.

SHIT! How in the **** could I have left out RA The Rugged Man in my original post! Insane oversight! Fucking LOVE R.A.

Anyhoo. . .as to the original topic of this thread, the kid does indeed have some mic skills (even with the lisping! lol) so much so I kind of think it would be a shame if he only sticks to nerdcore. The super-fast flow is his bankable "thing" but I actually think his strength is in his great lyrics.

Screw all of that.

Best white rappers? The Beastie Boys.

Screw that. Only on the mainstream tip.

Nevertheless, "Paul's Boutique" is one of my favorite albums ever to be sure.

Thats basically how eminem started though, people listened to him because his songs were funny. Then after he established himself he started going on a more serious note.

It just doesnt appear to me he has the "street cred" if you will, to actually rap seriously.

anywho, i bet this kid is getting mad tail in college.

Oh I know, that's why I said I'd actually prefer to see if he could abandon the nerdcore because for some artists/acts that is their specialty sub-genre and they never desert it. . .which is fine. I just think the kid probably has the lyrics-writing skills to try something meatier. I don't know about him absolutely needing the "realer" cred tip---lots of white rappers who have garnered respect in underground didn't necessarily come with hard knock street cred in their backgrounds, they just had to earn respect by being fucking awesome mcs.

I'm with bookie on this. The reason I posted it wasn't just because of his rapping ability. It was because of that and his writing ability. If you look at any more of his videos he's a fantastic writer. I actually enjoy his poems or spoken word (however it's categorized) more than his rap.
