My favorite teams
  1. Los Angeles Lakers
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Los Angeles Kings
  1. Clemson Tigers
The Jets, Jacksonville, Cowboys, Philly, Carolina, Atlanta, Washington, and Detroit are currently ahead of the Bears in the draft order and could all take a QB. If the Bears want a QB this year then they’ll have to trade up. Just don’t see a top guy falling to 13 with all of these teams potentially taking a QB.

i would rather see them trade up for a top QB than settle for the fourth or fifth guy
Well they aren't getting Lawrence or Fields. After that the next group of guys all have question marks. If the Bears lose out they can probably get to about #8, where a small trade up to get the guy they want might be feasible.

Philadelphia is married to Wentz whether they like it or not. They aren't in the running. Nor is Detroit, really. The new coach would be a fool to give up on Stafford. On the other hand Denver is picking ahead of the Bears and they clearly are in the market for a quarterback, but then again I dont see them being worse than the Bears when this is all over.

I would be surprised if the Bears finish with a better record than Detroit, Carolina, Atlanta or Washington. The NFC East is starting to get its act together, the second place NFC East team should finish with a better record than the last place NFC North team.

The top two guys are outta reach, the others have higher bust potential. We have heard complaints about Leno for two years now - here's our chance to replace him. I get that ppl want their QB, but there's much safer picks.

We cannot have Leno starting next year.

the only game left i could see them win this year is against Jacksonville. this team is pretty much dead in the water.

If Sewell is there they should rush to the podium. A glorious-case scenario for the Bears is Taylor Moton hitting free agency and the Bears getting a chance to draft Penei Sewell. The interior line is starting to sort itself out. I dont think the Bears have any reason to pursue a guard in free agency.

I find it fascinating that every year the Bears are just out of range of the players/positions they want.

No matter what position the Bears have in the draft, all the good ones will be gone by the time we pick.

This narrative never fails to sell.

Agree. But you also have to take a QB if one you like is there or attainable.

It's a good year for OT, and a good prospect should be there in round 2. That said, I'd be happy if they got OT#2 with their first pick, even more so if they got him with a trade down. Out of all the position groups I will be watching OL the most in these last four games, especially Mustipher and Ifedi. They have both looked alright the last two. If you go out there next year with: Rookie-Whitehair-Mustipher-Daniels-Ifedi/Later rookie next year that feels workable for a transition season, which next year should be.

Go OT in rd 1 this year, be worse in 2021 and let a new GM draft top 2 QB in 2022 draft.
You don't really know what that class is going to look like though. Sam Howell is currently the only really obvious guy in that class and I don't think he'd crack the top three this year. There are some classes that are just duds.

Yes and JAX is playing much better than the Bears. They could have easily won at Minnesota yesterday.

This is why we need to draft Oline. Then trade away Mack, Hicks and anyone else who can garner a few picks. Grab your QB next year.

If all the QBs go before the Bears, they should have the pick of the litter when it comes to the offensive line, right?

Just kinda odd some of the posters that excused Mitch for a lot longer than a few of us, blaming the oline, want to skip oline again and reach for QB. (Or trade and lose picks.)

I get that oline isn't a provocative pick, but for effs sake take an olineman if you don't get a good enough pick for QB. Go QB in 2022.

The top OT will 99% be gone, he's the top non-QB prospect in the draft, but the rest will likely be there. It's a deep draft for OT and even if the Bears traded down to 20 or so they would still be able to get a very good prospect most likely.
