I've been flirting with the idea for awhile, so I'm going to give it ago.
I'm going to attempt to not watch the news for 12 months. I've already cut a lot of it out before. I haven't watched cable news in years. I rarely watch network news...but recently, when I have it's "race and politics" or "politics and race."
I can read books on any topic. I can watch football. I can post on the forums, and if news topics come up, that's fine. If it comes up casually or I inadvertently read something that's fine. I'm just not going to tune into channels or read news websites on purpose.

Something I started last year, that worked out pretty well, was to make a list of goals I want to accomplish for the year. Then I generally make a list each month. COVID sort of fucked over some of them, but I made a lot of progress towards everything I initially strove to accomplish.
