A reworked, high-definition version of Goldeneye 007 for the Nintendo Wii appears to be coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

While Activision hasn't officially announced the project yet, screenshots of the game were published today by Videogamer.

Activision is expected to unveil more details about the game during Comic-Con in San Diego this week.

The original is classic, and the reason why I still have a Nintendo 64. Will be interesting to see more details about this version as they come out.

I can safely say that the game for Wii kicks major fucking ass. The online multiplayer pwns the shit outta most 1st person shooters.

Knew a 007 title was in the works, didn't know it'd be this though.

If I remember right, there could be a sequel to 007: Bloostone, right?

Yep. That is what I was expecting. Made by Raven Software. I guess that could be this though? Time will tell.

As much as i loved Goldeneye, i did like its knockoff cousin Perfect Dark better

I kept both and Perfect Dark is nice. I guess I just always liked Goldeneye since it was one of the first real cool multiplayer shooters. Having four guys with the various fun options, I always liked License to Kill/Throwing Knives, was always a good time. Ah nostaglia. Perhaps I will dust the 64 off and take a break from the PS3.

Best about PD was you could have bots play against you.

the old goldeneye was probably my favorite nintendo 64 game...probably even more than any of the mario games

i wonder if this new goldeneye will live up to the old one...they didnt alter the basic ideas of the game did they? i certainly hope not..

8.5 Presentation
Stylish and a great homage to Bond.

7.5 Graphics

Better than the Wii version, but not as good as they should be. Blurry textures abound.

9.0 Sound
Familiar voice acting and some seriously groovy tunes add a necessary layer of panache.

8.5 Gameplay
Exceptional multiplayer options make up for the so-so single player modes.

9.0 Lasting Appeal
Solid multiplayer means the fun essentially never ends. More to do in single player would have been great too.

8.5/10

GI Rating 7.00

Concept:Bring the Wii's recent GoldenEye remake to consoles that support HD graphics, normal controllers, and competent online networks

Graphics:The HD graphics are an obvious improvement, but the levels are so basic that they still fail to impress

Sound:Gun sounds are hit or miss, as is the voice acting

Playability:Exactly what you've come to expect from a modern FPS. The limited sprint is annoying

Entertainment:Reloaded is a decent shooter, but contains little of what made the original so entertaining

Replay:Moderate
