Google powered Search

I've implemented a new google search engine within the site. It could be pretty useful to many here when searching Blackhawk specific information.



The search is keyed in on all other Blackhawk communities, so when you are looking for information on someone like Nick Leddy, for example, the search crawls between websites such as blackhawkzone.com to paintitblackhawks.com to chicagoblackhawks.com and even includes IHN in the search as well. (Tim Sassone, Al Cimaglia, and other Blackhawk columnists are included)... basically searches through the entire Blackhawk "Nation" giving you good results on the most popular information.



So I encourage everyone to use it, or at least try it. You can either click the link on the main navigation bar titled "Search" on the main page or you can find the small box on the main page and search directly from there.

Very cool feature, I tried it and liked it.

I would put a link or text box for that at the top of every page for convenience.

Great! I figured some people might enjoy it. The cool thing about it is that its completely Blackhawk orientated.



Just search something like "Hammer" and you won't get tools... or "Soupy" and it sure as hell won't be chicken. Might be useful. If anyone has any websites they like to frequently visit related to the Hawks, let me know and I'll get it into the filter... lets make this the best Hawks search engine out there!

Looks pretty good but it may need some tweaking, nothing major though. I just did a search for "best skater" and John Scott came up on top. :angry-banghead:

Yeah definitely needs some tweaking. Maybe it's not fully crawling the sites, or missing the boards, but I put posters name up there and didn't get much back.

I did a little bit of tweaking, I added the boards, along with IHN (for some reason I forgot to add us to the list)... if there are any other Blackhawk communities/sites/bloggers that anybody frequently likes to visit, let me know and I'll add them to the list.
