They are literally rubbish, it's absolutley simply just a camera. There is not a singular attribute which makes it unigue or appealing, the consumer is literally simply affixing a recording device to his hat and engaging in idiotic ****. My mom's boyfriend had cameras all the way back in 1999 and there was literally nothing to be braging about, we just video taped our skating movies and called it a day. Nowadays we have all of these ignoramuses with Gopros doing snowboards down mountainslides and other ludicrous **** worthy of ridicule, get a job or a hobby with some actual benefits for society besides your own entertainment to put on display for other people's amusement, they can watch professionals do stunts and tricks on real television. GoPros is literally just ignoramuses showing off for a camera. Gopros are a rubbish *** product with absolutely nothing speical about them, simply a camera you can tape to your head, how is that anything unique that you sould pay all that money for? I will never understand it.

I spend my summers wakeboarding- and all the people I ride with get their own videos at the end of the season as a thank you for being dependable all year.
Footage from the boat or a chase boat can be tedious, so breaking it up with a first person perspective provides a little variety.
They absolutely fill a niche, being far more durable and portable than a traditional camera.
25 years from now they will all be able to look back at the great summers they had.

Plus- they are practically disposable.

I have a JVC GR-C1 Videomovie in case somewhere. I'm not a videographer/photographer by any means, but I bought it from an estate sale for $10 and thought it would make for a cool electronics project. Then learned its some kind of collectable camcorder and also was the model of Doc's camera that Marty used in BTTF.

Other than ebaying current prices, I have no real idea of its value.

I bet carrying that thing around was some great weight training! Do you still have old footage, and have you watched it lately? I have some old kodak disk pictures of skating, but i was poor- I couldnt afford a camcorder. I would love to have some footage of it.
