If Gordon is out, this series is over.

Gordon, a guard, said he “felt something pop” on a second-quarter drive but vowed not to miss Tuesday's Game 5 in Boston: “I'll do what I need to do to be able to play.”

Gordon rode a stationary bicycle during idle moments in the second half.

“It's really sore,” he said. “I'll continue to treat it throughout the day and all the way up until next game.” Chicago Tribune

PLEASE NOT! :eek:hmy:

But is that injury a result of that hard foul?

I agree, if he is out the series is over.

That would be devastating. I guess the one positive for Ben's sake is that if we can beat Boston with him and not without him, he looks like a can't lose piece. I know that's not much reassurance, but it's at least headline news and might be in the franchise's long-term interest. Ugh.

Ben Gordon's playing in game 5 guys. Don't let the "pop" worry you. That's typical in a hamstring strain.

He just needs to get some good massage, some electrotherapy, and whatever else the Bulls can do, and then give him another pain killer shot before the game. He played most of last game after the injury. He was noticeably hindered on defense, but he still hit the big shot, despite the injury.

I thought BG said, he was going to play in game #5 no matter what???

I think if he is seriously hurt, then I think he should just sit and be ready for game #6 to force game #7.

If he doesn't play, this will be a good preview of our 2009-2010 offense when Deng is out with a different injury.

Indeed it will. Seeing John Salmons go 5-20 with 8 turnovers.

It would/will be very ugly at times without BG. You can argue that we still have Derrick, but unless he scores 50 a night, he needs some guys to chip in.

hopefully he's going to play, it looks like it though! Come on BG you have to play.
And to JR: Sign BG come on now, it's the real deal! BG and Rose and our backcourt is set for years, watch the games and you will see it too!

Per ESPN it's a strain hamstring but they say it's day to day but BG had said about 3 times already he is playing.

I believe Gordon will play. It really just depends how much this effects him (if at all).

How many players listed day to day don't end up playing in the game? (Not counting Luol Deng of course.)

Amen... I just don't understand how you can convince yourself not to resign him

Maybe we can sign BG at a discount because of a lingering hamstring issue? Who's comin' with me?

Nah I don´t think so. If the Bulls will try something like that I´m sure Gordon will go. He was not lucky about the last contract and if you want to sign him again you have to pay what he is worth. And that is more than he gets right now.

Just wishful thinking on my part. I can't accept that he is going to be gone after this year.
