Chicago Bull Ben Gordon spotted eating lobster flatbread and truffles at the District Bar last week.

I would imagine the guy doesn't really want to re-locate. He lives here now, is comfortable here.

If he were to sign elsewhere, he would have to buy a new house and probably sell his current one, in a bad market. You have to take into account his personal assistants, who are all big city folks too. They probably like Chicago over a place like Oklahoma City as well.

He didn't relocate the other two summers, why is this a surprise? Also why would he sell his house here? Most pro players have more than one house anyway.

Chicago is the best. You can get a home at your bargain anytime.

Well he has a home here, and has lived here for years.

Would you honestly sell your house and buy a house somewhere else just because you're uncertain of where your next contract will be?

I mean, I know it's the off-season and we're starving for some information but lets not go all loco. He is doing what any normal human being would do.

BG has worked and lived in Chicago ever since being drafted. Other than the occasional trip or visit back to New York, he resides here 365 days of the year. He has his own keys to the Berto Center, where he works out constantly. So none of this is surprising at all.

I don't think any logical person would sell and buy a house because of contract uncertainty.

But he may like his house in Chicago and won't want to relocate.

Hell, the guy said it on the radio for himself last week that he loves Chicago and wants to stay here.

The idea that Gordon is out of here to burn the Bulls organization doesn't hold any legitimate weight. It comes down to whether the Bulls want to keep him or not.

Who said that? If there's one thing that is a constant with Ben Gordon, it's his professionalism. He's one of the most professional Professional Basketball Players out there. He doesn't fight with coaches, he doesn't change his attitude or play on the court because of contract issues, he doesn't argue with teammates, he doesn't complain through the media about anything, he just comes to work everyday and gets the job done.

It was truly an honor to watch Ben and Ray going at it in the 1st round, as they are two of the more classy, professional players in a league full of cry babies and shameless punks.

Or you can say whether or not the Bulls want to keep him comes down to how much Ben will sign for.

They can't even start officially negotiating yet. Ben is doing a nice job of laying out his position in the media, imo - he'd like to stay, all things being equal, but what he's offered by the Bulls and other teams will most likely make things not equal. That could be in favor of or against the Bulls.

I guess I don't get why Ben hanging out in his hometown within a week of the Bulls season being over, and substantially before negotiations start, means anything one way or the other. I wouldn't be worried he hated the Bulls if he packed up and went to visit family either. Now if he does randomly buy a house elsewhere, put his Chicago home on the market (hello, Jay Cutler!), or starts talking tough through the media, then I'll probably start thinking he's on the outs with the team and hopes to sign elsewhere.

That's one play, versus an entire career. Plus Varejao started that whole incident. Somehow I knew someone would post that.

It was just a joke, I agree with everything minus Varajao "starting" it.
