Always been curious about my dad's dad's side of the family. Allegedly scots irish but our surname is english and not many of them left to ask. Do you think it matters if i do the cheek swab after drinking?

Yeah, what do those things run? That would be an interesting thing to delve into -- the reality of one's bloodlines rather than the stories passed down.

One side of the family has been pretty well traced up to about 7 generations back (obviously not all the offshoots, but my lineage); the other side is more obscure and I don't know anything about them past my great-grandparents.

My work paid for most of mine. Turns out like 3% of my genome if I remember right traces back to neanderthals. Apparently, thats not uncommon and most ppl have some neanderthal dna.

Which means that at some point, we all had common ancestors that were fucking neanderthals.
