Had an awesome day today. Rolled out here in the early afternoon:

Made some sandcastles w/ my daughter, threw around the football w/ some buddies, had a few beers.

Rolled to our favorite seafood restaurant down the road a bit and had some steamed shrimp and oysters with friends. Watched the sun set on the Indian River Lagoon while eating kick ass seafood on the back deck.

Made all the work bullshit I had to deal w/ this week worth it.

What about everyone else?

Hawks4Realz would be happy to know that no dolphins were victimized today by any of us. Saw a few though.

Easter weekend. Spent time with the family, endured a couple tough Sox losses and watched the Hawks send it to game 7 against Vancouver! :)

Had a pretty crap weekend of work until today, I left work 2 hours into my 8 shift. Went Disc Golfing, got a hole in one on my first throw of the day. Totally worth whatever punishment might occur.

I live in North Carolina in the middle of the state. My brother's best friend is getting married in 3 weeks so we took him on his bachelor party. We drove to Moorehead City and went deep sea fishing 30 miles into the Atlantic. Pretty fun, didn't catch much but drank and had a good time. Went out on Friday night to a bar, got drunk, got kicked out then woke up and went fishing Saturday morning. Got home mid-afternoon, started drinking around 6pm, went to the strip club around 10, left at 2am with plenty of great stories. Probably the best weekend in awhile. My disconnect from the sports world was scary. I had no idea the Bulls lost until the next day, cell phone died and didn't watch TV or anything. It's refreshing but also odd to fathom.

Asheville is in the western part of the state, I don't head to the mountains that often haven't been in years. I live in the Triad in the middle of Greensboro/High Point, etc.

Ya, gotcha - don't they call it piedmont or some shit like that? I've flown into Greensboro before. College town right? Spent quite a bit of time in Charlotte with friends / family. I love Asheville though. Not so much Asheville itself as much as surrounding areas. Great outdoors stuff to do up that way. Was almost considering moving, but then said **** that.

Charlotte is about 100 miles away, and Raleigh is 100 miles in the opposite direction. It's not really a college town, more of a 20-30 year old crowd downtown and such. The colleges are actually solid academically so more people concentrate on school.

If you want to truly party, go to Greenville where East Carolina University is....In-fucking-sane.

Mass at my dad's church with him, my sister and her family. Then over to my dad's house for brunch, where he made French toast. Then I just did my laundry at his house like a normal Sunday.

Decent weekend. Work on Saturday as always, even though it was a real slow day so the money wasnt there. Would have been great if the Bulls won. Found out this chick i like at work has a thing for me so thats straight. Church, great food and wine with my PIT family.

I give it a 6/10
