Meh, just how they role in Milwaukee. Garza wouldn't be allowed to play ball in Chicago, fans would see him, call the northside cops, who would gently cuff him, but him in the back of a cadillac, and drive him to his mansion, where they would turn on his heated blanket and softly sing him lullabies until he fell asleep...

umm...sure the mattress is tempur-pedic.

I was looking forward to seeing Greinke pitch, actually. But I love him as a player... just doesn't have the same effect as seeing Wainwright go down.

Yeah I am gonna be in Milwaukee April 9, would have liked to have seen him pitch.

Still good for the Cubs.

Not actually wishing injuries on them... just saying that the Cubs have been getting pretty lucky.

Zack Greinke might not be back as soon as we thought | HardballTalk

When it was revealed earlier this month that Zack Greinke fractured a rib playing pickup basketball, the Brewers estimated that he would only miss the first couple weeks of the season. Maybe not.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke told John Schlegel of MLB.com yesterday that it’s unlikely Greinke will be ready by April 16, a date which was previously considered a best-case scenario.

“If he’s ready at that point, I’m going to be really happy,” Roenicke said. “I just don’t know if he’s going to be ready then. I think we’re not really planning on that early.”

Roenicke said that Greinke has been doing cardiovascular training, elevating his heart rate to the point where he feels the rib injury. He has yet to even play catch, so he’ll essentially need to start from scratch once he’s ready to actually throw.

The Brewers are having a hard enough time trying to fill the void left by Greinke, so they’d be in pretty rough shape if Shaun Marcum‘s shoulder tightness also results in a DL stint.
