I'd love to have X on the team, but at whose expense?

I think OJ mayo has a better chance of getting traded than Henry.

bro that's the best part. if the pick stays protected until 2016, it will become completely unprotected. think about how garbage the cats will be in 2016. this has the potential to be a top 5 pick

I would not want to wait that long. A lot of people were excited about Redick. Henry is a player who has a great 3-pt shot as well and at least has the potential to not be a defensive liability like Redick. I would use that pick to get him.

It could be, but you also have to realize that the Bobcats only need to be lucky one year (outside of this year since we can't get it this year) in order for it to be a mediocre pick.

If you look historically over the NBA, how many teams have been in the lottery for five straight seasons? There have been a few for sure, but most teams get lucky at least once.

Also, it's probably that even if they are a lotto team for five seasons that we could get the pick at #9 in 2015 or something like that as well.

Still, it's a pretty sweet asset just because of what it could be. It's rare to have a chance at another team's lotto pick.

Henry's not a great three point shooter, he's no where near what Redick was as a shooter in college. I also don't think he'd be a better defender out the gates.

Henry's a project. He's only 18, will need lots of entitlement minutes, he's a poor ball handler, can't shoot of the dribble, and only an average athlete. He'll get abused by opposing SGs for at least three or so seasons until his body fills out.

He has potential for sure to be maybe a top 20 SG some time (not really high praise there, but he could be good), but he also could just be a fringe guy like Brandon Rush.

that bobcat pick is sweet, i think it could turn out like that pistons pick when they had a chance to get carmelo back in 03, if im right i think they got that pick from the grizz. it was a similar trade to the one we did with the cats. but of course we wont probably get the same exact result as them but it could be similar.
