According to hoopsrumors.com, the Memphis Grizzlies are involved in trade talks that involve them trading away forward Rudy ***.

The 6-foot-8 ***, who will be 26 when the 2012-13 season begins, played in 65 games last season and averaged 19 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.9 blocks per game.

*** has two seasons left on his contract at $53.7 million and a player option for 2014-15. It is believed that the Grizzlies are looking to move him in order to gain salary cap flexibility and thus would probably not be interested in taking back a big contract in return.

huh.. that's random. I liked the Grizzlies team the way it was. I thought they just needed to add a little more to their bench and they could have been a tough team to beat. I mean, they already were a tough team to beat... but they could have gotten better.

I don't see the Bulls being interested. The Bulls are probably comfortable with Deng and wouldn't see the need to trade him for a guy who plays the same position..

I'd rather have *** than Deng because he's a better offensive player, and that's what we need. I just don't see the Bulls making a move.

Toronto has a very good chance of landing ***.They'll be over 16 Million under the cap entering this off-season [If they don't make an offer to bayless]. So They'll definitely have the cap space to take in ***'s contract without having to give Memphis a big contract in return. They also have a lottery pick to offer Memphis for ***

Yeah that will probably happen. But we could try something there. Who knows? One coach in the league admires Boozer. Maybe it is Casey. :D

If they are looking to gain cap space, that means Deng/Noah/Boozer are not possibilities.

What do we have left to offer that fits their criteria? I don't think the Bulls want to stir the player confidence pot by contributing to the most unlikely of scenarios. Realistic trades, where teams have actual interest, that is worth something, not this.

If there's something that will make it happen, do it. Rudy's a shot creator, and a darn good one at that, which is what we need. Is he making less than Deng? If not, then we can try to center a trade around Deng. Maybe we can try to grab Mayo as well...:smug:

The Raptors are also interested in trading for Andre Iguodala and are willing to give up Jose Calderon and Ed Davis in a trade, according to ESPN.

The raptors suck. Boozer would be a great fit there. :troll:

Wow, big sacrifice from Toronto. I raise their Calderon and Davis, and offer them Taj and Mike James.

Sarcasm. I'm all for sending Deng and future picks for Rudy *** and perhaps even throw in C.J. Watson.

I think that trade helps both teams. *** and Zach Randolph just don't mesh together. Deng is more of a willing passer and helps their rebounding and defense a little more than *** and is willing to do a lot of rugged, dirty work. Plus, he saves them some (key word is "some") money. He has $3M less per-yr. and 1 less year in general than *** does on his contract.

Lucas, James (IR- Rose)
Brewer, Hamilton, Korver
***, Butler
Boozer, Gibson
Noah, Asik

I say try to make the trade and keep C.J. but they can always trade one (or two) of their 3 SGs and pick up a decent stand-in until Rose gets back.

Code highlighted that part because the Grizzlies likely won't take back ANY player that makes a lot of money because they're trying to clear cap space.

So why would they trade for Deng if the point of wanting to trade *** is to clear cap space?

A. Even if Deng's contract is less, I don't think they want to commit to that

B. If u add in Watson....Memphis has to actually commit more money than they would having ***

C. No way memphis does *** for deng straight up
