Is there a way to make the 'New Group Messages' tab indicate that there's new posts within your group(s), like how the 'Notifications' tab is highlighted when you receive a new PM or VM? Or perhaps even make them appear under the 'Notifications' tab? Just curious is all. I have noticed that you can subscribe to individual threads within your group(s). I apologize if I've missed something. Hell, it may even do that already lol.

It's one of those features that was disabled to recoup a small bit of performance long ago. These rarely used features add up for the rest of users. If/when vbulletin releases an update that uses more of the mysql 5.6 optimizations, then of course, this changes and monitoring the groups for updates in the activity feed wouldn't be a problem. From what I gather, a lot of features and optimizations are being taken advantage of in future versions. So we'll see.

The needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many, Crys.

Seriously though, being able to subscribe to individual threads is more than sufficient, I was just curious is all.
