It didn't look like it a while back, but if I look at the priorities going into this season, I think we've hit the top five on the head so far:

* Rose is playing like an all-star
* Noah is a top defensive center
* Deng has played every game
* Salmons is now playing well enough to opt out and give us cap space
* We're in a good position to make the playoffs

Sure, everything outside of this list (with the exception of Gibson being a player) has been crap and so we're still two games below .500, but on balance I think I'd take it.

I'm glad everyone is playing well but this team just doesn't have enough talent to take it to the next level. They also don't have the consistency either but at least they play with heart. We desperately need a star player to take some of the pressure off of rose.

Well yes obviously, but given what we knew when we started the season, I'd say all the important stuff has come together. Getting the star was always going to be the hard part, but at least with things looking good we have a shot.

We're only 1.5 games out of 6th and 2.5 out of 5th. If we can somehow sneak another win on this road trip you really can't rule out moving up in the standings. Can you really say that Atlanta is a team that looks unbeatable? Or even Orlando given the drop off Carter has been for them? Or Boston if we face them without KG again? I'd at least feel we're a few good games from Rose away from stealing those series.

As improbable as it seemed when we were saying tank it all, with the East the way it is the second round is possible. Not saying it's probable, but aside from Cleveland (and Boston when healthy) none of the teams are that good that you'd just give up on winning the series.

I think we look at this team's flaws and forget that the competition in the East this year isn't crash hot either.

I think this team is doing what is expected...maintain. Not get significantly worst and not make the season a disaster...make the playoffs, and set themselves up for next season. All this talk by some of "if they don't win 50 games the season is a failure" stuff was a bunch of silliness used to set the bar too high for no apparent reason other than to prove a point. Rose and Noah have improved, Taj Gibson has been a pleasant surprise, Tyrus is still worthless half the time and the team is a lower tier playoff team...no different from last year.

Yeah it´s exactly the season I expected. Up and downs all season long. Winning against good teams like the Cavs, the Spurs and the Suns and then loosing to the Nets and Kings.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
This is about what should have been expected so I guess it is successful.
