They just need to sit him out for a month. This is ridiculous. That hard foul at the end of the fourth got him. When I saw him hesitate to unclamp his legs, I knew he hurt his groin.

yeah, idk how healthy he was when he returned, but he should have sat out until the groin was 100%. Groin injuries can linger for a while if they don't heal completely. Everyone that's ever had one should know.

Without Rip and Deng it would be tough.
Today everyone will understand how big is the Rip Hamilton addition to the bulls. The only good thing is that we ll see Jimmy Butler as a starter.

I'm a Butler supporter! He seems like he has a very level head, which is amazing. Jimmy seems grown for his age, and his basketball IQ seems at a good level. I am excited to see him start!

This just in from Thibs:

"Per Thibodeau, Hamilton's status (thigh bruise suffered vs IND) depending on warmups. Gibson too." - Via Chicago Bulls Twitter

Im not too worried about Rip missing this game in particular and really looking forward to seeing Butler. I hope he can prove something to Thibs so he can get some more consistent minutes with the bench mob.

I agree, I really want to see more of Butler. Everything I have seen thus far looks great. He is very athletic, and has a very high basketball IQ. Plus he has such a great rags to riches story, I love it.

. hmmmmmmm, Hamiltons hurt again, I'm not suprised.....Get used to it. Hamilton will be hurt every 4 games....I like Hamilton and he was a great player, but my problem is trying to figure out what percentage of games he will miss in the playoffs or against the Heat when we need his scoring the most........

Are you guys so sure that JR Smiths availability isn't needed????? Godbless Hamilton, but you can't rely on him being healthy on a consistant basis...

So basically, we still don't have a legitimate starting 2guard.....just a bunch of fill in bench 2guards that have to be rotated in and out the starting lineup.....

We need an everynight starting 2guard that can get us point everynight as a starter...And that guy is still available for the taking....The lord must really love Pax to leave constant opportunities availabble to him....maybe Pax will get up and take one...

That's the main thing I was worried about with Rip, how often he gets injured. When he is healthy he is a beast.

Hamilton hasn't really been injury prone in his career. It's only been the past couple of years really. And the last 2 years in Detroit, I feel like he missed more games then he should have simply because he didn't want to play for THAT team as much.

If he can just get over this groin strain I am confident he will do just fine. Hopefully he gets some rest over the All-Star break!

Its not Hamiltons fault......he's had a great career.

Injurys happen to players like Hamilton who has played so many years, so many playoff games and wear and tear on his body........Now age is catching up to him and it shows....

I'm suprised that anyone expecting or depending on Rip to be our starter every night.....I thought he was brought here to be a veteran leader on the bench to give us a few minutes here and there...........Its naive for anyone to expect him to be 2005 Rip...Ill give it to him though, when he's up to it and feeling weel, he has had some great games for us....

Like I been saying, Rip is a temporary solution for 1 season or so to some of our scoring problems and nothing more............

We will need a new guy sometime and I know who he is......JR S****.......
Rip can come off the bench for him..........that's a great rotation with Brewer there to fill in defensive rolls and extra spark off the bench..
