Richard Hamilton

At the end of the Bulls loss to the Magic Thursday night you saw how much Chicago misses Richard Hamilton — Chicago shot 2-for-10 in the final five minutes with Kyle Korver going an uncharacteristic 0-for-5. They needed another reliable scorer on the floor.

Rip can be that scorer, but a shoulder injury has him sidelined. And he may not be right up until when the playoffs start.

That’s the report out of the Chicago Sun Times.

Rip Hamilton said doctors have told him it will take a month for his sprained shoulder to fully heal, which would make it difficult for him to be at 100 percent when the playoffs start. The veteran said he believes he’ll be able to return earlier than that.

“I don’t think it’s going to take me that long,” he said.

Every player says that. They are almost always wrong.

Coach Tom Thibodeau’s comment on Hamilton was that he is still “a ways away.”

For the Bulls it is all about the playoffs — they need Rip right then, they don’t need to rush him back for the regular season.

I hope this is the last injury for this year.I think he will be healthy in the playoffs.I am more afraid of the Deng situation.Deng is obviously taking risks and this is dangerous.

Not surprised at all. If he can work himself into a flow by the start of the playoffs fine, otherwise this simply is not going to be good for us going deep into the playoffs.

If Rip gets hurt again after he comes back next month than it will be time to move on.

This is news how?

News would be Scamilton actually playing more than a week. That would be a real scoop.

Remember a few months ago when everyone ganged up on me tying to warn the masses on dangers of the arrival of this putrid filth?

Leave him aloooooooooooooone they said.

Just give him a chance.

Why do you hate him.

He brings the rings.

Good times those were. Good times indeed.

He won't be any help this year, he's made of glass. First playoff series he will get hurt in, rendering this move absolutely worthless. Back to the drawing board.

Does Rip have the most chicken-iest legs in the league? I thought he was some kind of a health nut. Seriously, dude's a pro athlete, in his twilight, and he wants to compete with Durant for string bean of the league. No wonder he gets hurt so easily.

What happens if Rip stays healthy when he comes back and helps the Bulls beat Miami? You will look like big idiot.

He almost never got injured back when he played for Detroit except when he fucked up his nose twice, this is the first time in his career that he is constantly getting injured.
