I don't think you want Hanley. He's getting older and more expensive and probably isn't as good as advertised. I think you want to keep Alexei as he's a superb defensive SS already. If Hanley were to come to the Sox, he'd probably have to shift over to 3B which he's already sort of bitching about, or to the OF. I don't see how that would be ideal.

Wouldn't this be the opposite of rebuilding? I don't see how Hanley makes sense for either Chicago team since he is so set on playing SS.

Bad character is not what you want when creating a new look team.
He's known for bad character and hasn't been that great. He had a good rookie season and ever since then, everyone thought he had a big upside.

Andre told me that Hanley in the minors could not be trained. Poor work ethic. Ficus was not on being a better player or respecting the game. Only on self. Hanley can be kept

We won't get any thing for Danks or Quentin. I don't think KW will be able to move anyone for what he's asking (which isn't unreasonable) but there just isn't that strong of a market for anyone.
I'd bet $20 that what we have on the 25 man roster now is what we have when we head into opening day.
