I don't begrudge anyone their ideas or reasoning. To each his own. I just honestly don't get why it is illegal. I haven't really heard a compelling argument for it being illegal. For me, I say if someone wants to **** their life up, who is the government to tell them they can't?

There is a difference, albeit perhaps very minimal. Decriminalization would basically mean that someone who has a small amount on them, for arguments sake, lets say an ounce, won't be arrested and prosecuted. Like, some ****** sitting on his way to a concert, or a buddys house gets pulled over and has an ounce on him, won't get arrested. Freeing that cop to go after real criminals, real bad guys. Also, freeing up jail and prison space for real criminals, rapists, murderers, white collar fucks.



Just an example. I don't know what a decent amount would be.

Jako I think under decriminalization, you would be arrested for having an ounce. That's a large amount. I would love to hear a compelling argument against legalization.

Some States already do that, they write a ticket instead, don't they?

I think most of the folks I've talked to regarding legalization agree that there's bad that comes with the good - its one of those issues where a case can be made for either side. I just wonder with our current debt/economic woes, why not entertain the idea of taxing the shit out of it and making some money and potentially creating more jobs?
