Had to work late.... got home around 7:15... NO ONE around trick-or-treating.
No one came to my door for the last hour.... then these 2 teenagers show up and ring my doorbell, no costumes, just bookbags to carry candy... lol **** off, no costume no fucking candy

2PM is way too early. Most kids are still in school until 3 or 3:30. Around here it's usually between 5PM and 8PM.

Well 2pm is the start.... 7pm is the end.... its a 5 hour window.... and its not my hours... those are the hours posted on the Orland Park website.

2 to 7 is pretty ridiculous. It's barely dark by 7.
There were no set dates or times that I could find in my city, so we just sent our kids out when we started seeing other kids going. We recently moved to TX from IL so we were unsure how it worked here. Anyway, they were out from 630 til a little after 8. Our neighborhood is perfect for trick or treating, too. A new subdivision so houses are close together and all streets are cul de sacs around a school in the center.

It is dark in chicagoland well before 7 this time of year. Also, shit gets really fucked up at dusk in the hood at dusk. Plus there is the whole reverse gentrification going on...
