Title asks it. I can't think of a time where we put a QB in this good of a situation before. Is this a best ever? In Chicago.

Offense-wise or team-wise? If you're strictly talking offense, that 2013 team was pretty loaded for Cutler/McCown. Pro Bowl WR's on both sides, a Pro Bowl TE and one of the most well-rounded RB's in football.

Man I would love to see a 26 year old Forte on Nagys offense.

No. There hasn't. Next year's campaign should be: No excuses 2019.

I'd prefer if this forum next year was: NO RETARDS 2019

I would have to say no. That honor belongs to the Chicago Bears of the early 40s who won 4 championships in 7 years.

They had the following Hall of Famers playing for them sometime during those years:

Sid Luckman - QB

Dan Fortmann - OG

Bulldog Turner - C / Lber

George McAfee - HB / DB

Joe Stydahar - OT

George Musso - OG / OT

Sure, the game was different then but Halas built a really solid situation for Sid Luckman, and that is what was asked by the OP.

Cutler had better weapons than Trubisky has now. But the coordinators were worse for Cutler. I'd say every offensive skill position was better when Cutler was the QB.

I'd still take Brandon Marshall on one side and Alshon Jeffrey on the other. For pure talent I don't think this current corps beats that offense. Martellus Bennett was better than Burton/Shaheen. Matt Forte was better than Cohen

The 99 Bears sans their RB was actually amazing depth and talent

WR - Robinson, Conway, Engram, Booker
OL - Brock/Perry/Kreutz/Villarial/Big Cat

Obvious nothing at TE or RB but it's kinda funny to look at that amount of talent and remember how shitty it was. But in fact, it was probably just the wrong era. Now, the Bears would have gone 3 or 4 wide all game with a ton of James Allen in the backfield.

I think Salusen gives the 13 bears an edge.
