Cleveland, Columbus or Cincinnati?

Me and some friends are going on another baseball trip this weekend. This time we are headed to the state of Ohio...Starting in Cleveland, then going to Columbus for Ohio. State and then Cinci.. Going to the Indians-Rangers game on Saturday, and the Reds-Phillies game on Monday. We also plan on making a stop at the Football Hall of Fame.

Any bars, food places or anything else we should go do or see?

Can't go wrong with Quaker Steak and Lube. Authentic sport and racing memorabilia cluttered throughout the restaurant. And the best chain-restaurant Buffalo wings IMO.

The one in IL, or one in Ohio(preferably closer to PA)? Just asking, because there's a big difference. The one in Springfield sucks, and I would rather buy wings from a grocery store chicken cart.

I frequent Cincy (living in KY, it's the closest stadium)....

Go to Montgomery Inn in Cincy. It's just a cpl miles from the GABP, and the best fucking ribs you'll ever eat in your life. Not terribly pricey for Ribs (I think my meal was under $20 for a full rack of ribs, 2 sides and a drink), and their sides kick fucking ass. Their onion tanglers are also amazing....really, everything the 4 of us had was incredible. I'd HIGHLY recommend it.

Oh, and BTW zack. There isn't jack shit to do in Ohio outside of the Hall of Fame(s), and Cedar Point. I hope you have a good time though, maybe the residents, like 901, can chime in. =)

Not to derail, but was the memorabilia at least, good? The one I really liked had an Evil Kenevel bike, an entire Richard Petty's authentic 73/74 Roadrunner in full. A ton of other stuff too, I just can't remember it all. Another one I went to had some cool stuff, the Easy Rider bike I'm not sure, was the original, like the other one had authentic stuff. I'm pretty much in some agreement that some of these chains must be avoided, but if the displays are one-of-a-kind and actually cool, it might be okay for a meal.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I'mma be pissed if you don't go there. Shit-ton of sports memorabilia, too.

Yeah..The bikes hanging from the ceiling were cool...The Peter Fonda bike was really cool...Im sure they have several copies of it, but it was still cool to see..On another note regarding motorcycles. Several years ago ( maybe 1998?) The Guggenheim Museum from NYC came thru with their display of motorcycles called.."The Art Of The Motorcycle". I saw it...Many cool bikes, and they had a replica of the Easy Rider bike. I heard the originals were somehow lost over the years. One was destroyed in the making of the film, and one was stolen..In regards to the Quaker Steak restaurant..I had other stuff there that was decent. I just didnt like the wings. But thats a personal taste.

As another frequent visitor of Cincy, I fully endorse this post.

Also, be sure to try either Gold Star or Skyline Chili. They're both very good IMO. Can't go wrong with either place.

Skyline all the way. And there are quite a few in cinnci, Columbus, and Cleveland

Bt if I want the best place to go, go to Thurman's cafe in Columbus. Just outside of campus. Be prepared for a long wait, as it's a hole in the wall place and it's always jam fuckig packed. But great burgers. Get the therminator.

Skyline chili is great.. but so is Graeter's Ice Cream. They actually sell the pints and such in Chicago now but it's from Cinnci area and fantastic stuff.

Skyline Chili is fantastic. I always stop there when I go back to Cincinnati with my Dad (he grew up there, so we always hit up the favorites).
