6 NHL Teams Most Likely to Win the 2015 Stanley Cup

Out of the 5 favorites the Blues will be the biggest hurdle, with the Kings next. With the lingering memory of last years loss to the Kings providing the motivation, it's the Hawks to lose. That is if they can get a third pairing by the end of the year. Q keeps running the top 2 pairings into the ground, somebody will break down with an injury and then we'll be seriously HOSED and my prediction will be out the window/down the crapper/caputs.

With the hype train of talent in Rockford how many of those guys will be real NHL players. Stan needs to trade for D with some of his hyped up talent pool that will never be NHL players (how is his skill to evaluate his talent) but are believed to be by his trade partner. I wouldn't count on Stan to pull that off. They should try to develop one or two from within that can be viable for the playoffs. Doesn't seem like Q has the patience for young talent, time will tell.

Until we can beat teams like the Flames on a frequent basis and in a consistently positive fashion, I'm going to withhold my judgment.

If the Hawks play like they did against the Flames on a consistent basis they'll have the President's Trophy wrapped up by New Years. They'll beat teams 9 out of 10 times playing like they did in that game. They dominated it thoroughly. The final score or outcome of a hockey game isn't always indicative of what type of game it was.

While I agree with the above statement, results are what matter in the standings. People aren't going to remember what exactly happened in the game.... They will remember what the team did in the whole year in terms of the standings.

Thats why I said what I said.

Granted, Hiller was the only reason the Flames won that game the other night, and goalies can steal them. But at the end of the year, no one will remember that unless the losses keep piling up.

Well those are the type of people that think the Hawks will get bounced in the first round of the playoffs because they don't "respond" to Toews or Kane getting hit. I don't care what they remember or don't remember. If the Hawks play like that on any kind of consistent basis, which would be hard to expect from any team, they're going to be fine. You don't consistently lose games playing like that and that's not an opinion or speculation the Hawks have done it for years now.
