The Avalanche's aversion to defense makes me confident that the Hawks will be scoring plenty more in this game

Toews from one side of the ice to other. Won the defensive battle and scored! What a man. 5-2 Hawks.

Hawks fans really showed up in Colorado. Whole crowd is chanting "Let's go Blackhawks." That is why there is a lack of posts here, everyone is at the game.

Other than the chant needing to be "Let's go Hawks!" it's pretty cool to hear that support each game.

Another solid game by the Blackhawks and the usual suspects showed up.

Kane and Toews were at another level tonight. Both with 3 point games and other numerous chances created off of their sticks. Third line once again created mismatches and chipped in offensively. Frolik/Kruger continue to put in a solid effort and are playing the roles that they have been put in.

Good to see Hayes score (soft hands I alluded to) but he once again didn't have a great game in my eyes. The Blackhawks two top leftwingers that would be called up are Hayes and Morin...both who are going to have trouble keeping up with anyone in the top 6.

Oduya has been real solid as of late. I thought he had a rocky start to this season but seems to be playing better with every game that goes by.

Hopefully Hossa is okay...hard to tell what it was with that hit but the head is always a worry.

Going to be a great game on Wednesday versus the Ducks.

You're pretty right on target on this kid. Two things that are really noticable are the lack of use with that big body of his. Somebody might might want to point him in the direction of Bickell. The way Bickell is playing this year is something this kid should be watching. The other thing is his speed or lack of it to be exact. Much like Carcillo, he has problems keeping up. I dont remember him him being this slow. Morin would be a faster option...he always reminds me of Stalberg. Lots of north-south speed but little agility. I dont think that either is a particularly good fit on Kane's line but hopefully its only temporary....just waiting on Sharp.

Also kudos to Kaner. Q double shifted him for close to half the game...when Hossa went down. What a great job, I dont think he had one bad shift.
