Really don't understand this.

Maybe try explaining why you don't understand this.

Bowman was thrown into an extremely difficult position with the cap. I think he has done a very nice job over the last two summers. He has identified needs, locked up the core, and gotten rid of some terrible contracts.

Everything I read says that Stan Bowman is a numbers geek...the exact type of GM you want to be in charge of your team during the cap era.

Yeah, I can't see a problem with this.

Moving Campbell and locking up Crawford, Sharp and Seabrook to reasonable, drama-free deals should be enough to get the guy an extension. Obviously the job he did with free agents this past summer remains to be seen on the ice this year, but it's hard to argue with the amount of small, acceptable contracts he inked while keeping the team away from the cap troubles from just a season ago.

Also, Skille for Frolik + Salak's rights? Come on... how do you not like that deal?

And then you have what a bunch of experts call one of the deepest bunch of prospects in the league- many that were drafted under his watch.

The guy is good. Granted, he still has no personality whatsoever, but he's good at his job and has this team headed in a good direction.
