Damn I was about to enter the 3v3 Hockey Tournament with some of my teammates... then we noticed it is floor hockey. They should have an inline hockey tournament or hold it on the Ice at Johnnys Ice House. Floor hockey is Special person and pointless.

Either way I will be attending, thinking about skating the 10K for the hell of it.

They probably dint want to alienate the fans who cant skate. A lot of new fans probably have never played the game before.

Players who can't skate should shoot a tennis ball at a garbage can in their driveway, not pay $150 to play in a Hockey Tournament. Hockey is not hockey without skates (be it inline or ice) it is soccer with sticks. Also ball hockey is Special person, but I guess being they are not requiring full equipment you cannot use a sportcourt puck.

They should at least hold a separate inline tournament for experienced players.

I play both. I play inline at Hat Trick Hockey in Palatine and I play ice at Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva. They are different sports, I love both but prefer Ice Hockey.
